Pre-owned Rolex Daytona Ref 126508 (2025), aka "John Mayer 2.0," was released just a few months ago and is already starting to trickle onto the secondary market. The coveted all-gold Daytona replaces the previous, original John Mayer ref. 116508, which initially came to market in 2016 and enjoyed many years of production before bowing out in 2023 to make way for the upgraded Daytona generation. Now, for 2025, the John Mayer Daytona returns, complete with many of the upgrades afforded to the rest of the series, including the shiny new caliber 4131 with a Chronergy escapement and a 72-hour power reserve. The striking green dial remains, including the previous 5-liner text and vibrant red Daytona logo. Only now, the tonal green sub-dials of the prior model been swapped out for gold spray-coated sub-dials, a classy touch that sets this model apart from its predecessor.
