Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16014 (1978) represented an important era in Rolex watchmaking when the brand transitioned to more contemporary materials and techniques. While it still sports some inherently vintage design elements, such as the acrylic crystal, the older-style case with tapered lugs, and Tritium luminescent material on the dial, it also houses the upgraded caliber 3035, which replaced the previous 15XX generation of movements and brought with it a higher frequency and a convenient Quickset date that is adjustable with a simple twist of the crown. Ref. 16014 will also appeal to collectors with its versatile, silvery steel and 18k white gold finish.
